I’m Era
- an artist, filmmaker, and guide in the art of remembering.
My journey began in India, shaped by movement, silence, and a hunger for truth. I studied engineering but found my soul through storytelling and spiritual inquiry. When I could no longer fit inside the roles the world offered me, I began to create my own.
When the world around me failed to make space for the depth I carried, I turned inward. I taught myself filmmaking during the stillness of the pandemic. I immersed myself in the Gene Keys, ancient feminine wisdom, and the body’s capacity to hold ecstasy and grief at once. I come from a background in geoscience and permaculture, but my real education came from walking away from systems that no longer resonated—academic institutions, traditional career paths, and even some spiritual practices that once gave me meaning.
